AC Milan sign Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid

AC Milan have signed the highly rated right back from Real Madrid on loan with the option to make the transfer permanent.

AC Milan are very active on the transfer market. The Rossonei will revamp their midfield following the sale of Sandro Tonali and the injury of Ismael Bennacer. Ruben-Loftus Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders have joined while Yunus Musah could be next. Pulisc has arrived to strengthen the attack while Sportiello will serve as Maignan’s back-up.

Today, the Rossoneri have secured a player for the future. AC Milan have completed the signing of Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid. Jimenez arrives on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. New AC Milan sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio has played a key role in the signing of Jimenez.

Alex Jimenez will initially join the Primavera squad coached by Ignazio Abate. However, the 18-year-old right back could soon make a leap to the first team. AC Milan have high hopes for a player who was once destined to follow in the footsteps of Daniel Carvajal but whose career was hinder by injuries.

Last season Jimenez made only 7 appearances recording 2 assists along the way. The 18-year-old started his career as an attacker before being converted into a right back but he hasn’t lost his abilities when going forward. Alex has been part of the Spanish youth national team from U-15 up to U-19.

Jimenez is described as a very powerful and physically strong player. He breaks lines when going forward, is fast and can give an important contribution up front. AC Milan hope to have signed the Theo Hernandez of the right flank. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold is his role model.
